"her perspective on things had changed"
In differing points of view, we often come upon things that look differently. To one it may be that the object you are viewing looks small. To another it may seem very large. Depending on our own personal held beliefs and ideas, we take our thoughts and form them into opinions, while often times assuming that others have formed the same opinions as ours. When we find that they don't match with ours we often get upset, are shocked or sometimes just a bit annoyed.
The annoyance, the shock and upset can come from many things. A couple fighting about what the intent was behind the man in the couple speaking to another woman. The mother and the father disagreeing on what is appropriate for their young child to watch on the television or sometimes even in society where in different cultures there are different perspectives on what is acceptable.
When we narrow our point of view to only our own it is almost impossible for us to see outside of our own constrictions. If we allow ourselves, however, to always try to see a broader perspective on any disagreement or idea that rubs us the wrong way, we can step outside our own box and begin to see the bigger picture.
Seeing the bigger picture not only allows us to accept other views and perspectives more readily, but it also allows us to accept that there are more perspectives, more possibilities for our own lives. The more we practice stepping out of the box, the more we can be outside that box.
I'd like you to view the Apple video below. In it you'll realize some things aren't necessarily the way they seem at first and that with every different point of view you take you can begin to conceptualize and create a new vision for your life. Taking these concepts into our own personal lives we can then break the mold of our old belief patterns and begin to contemplate new ideas and concepts for our own lives. Sometimes that's all it takes - a change of mind and a change of perspective.
