Covering Up the Divine: Twin Flames and Art

“Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it"

"I know the creator will go, but his work survives, that is why to escape death I attempt to bind my soul to my work."

- Michelangelo

We can take the above two quotes literally, or we can look a little deeper.

I'd like to continue our little journey of discovery about our history by looking at things a little differently.  For instance, I could take the first quote by Michelangelo quite literally, believing he is speaking about his art and the work of a sculptor.  But what if Michelangelo was trying to say something else?  Perhaps his intent was to say that every person, like a block of stone, has a work of divinity within and it is our task to discover it.

There can be many interpretations.  Based on our belief systems and society itself, what's been handed to us, we most often believe what we've been told.  Yet when I look at the second quote by Michelangelo I can't help but think that he wasn't talking about his ego that he wanted to survive death, but his very soul that he wished to bind to his art.  This statement, in light of yesterday's post about Michelangelo and the cover up of what he wanted to portray in his work, leads me down a very different path.  Perhaps there was a part of a message he wished to convey with his soul that he wanted to survive his death in his works of art.  Those things that portrayed the very symbolism of the sanctity of the divine itself.  If the church or government at the time forbid a written word, it might stand to reason that artists would resort to conveying messages through their "art".

Michelangelo wasn't the only artist who used symbolism and stature of form in his work to convey a message.  Another artist named Leonardo DaVinci also used much symbolism, and it seems that he too had a very important message to convey with his works.

I'm posting part of "The DaVinci Code" again below.  This was one of the movies that really got the church in an uproar if you remember.  The movie is full of symbols and the theme sets around the artist Leonardo DaVinci who is said to have included symbols of the divine in his work.

There is a common theme that I want to point out among these artists, as well as the work of another artist, Michael Jackson.  They all have left messages, all pointing to the fact that we are divine beings, equal in stature and importance.  All capable of reaching a higher consciousness and a more divine aspect of ourselves by uniting with God individually and collectively.  Yet all of those messages, I believe, were deliberately covered up.

This was the case with some of the most criticized public work of Dan Brown in his story "The DaVinci Code".  If you remember, some years back it was the Catholic Church again that came out to criticize the symbolism and interpretation of another one of the most famous works in our history; "The Last Supper" by DaVinci himself.  With such public criticisms and intimidation's, it's a wonder that many of our most influential and important artists of our times have come under the most scrutiny and ridicule.  If they had nothing important to say, I don't feel that anyone would truly be bothered.  If someone, or some organization does have something to hide, however, you better believe they will make it a point to "overrule", dodge or "cover up" what they want to remain hidden.

It's also at this particular time that I'd like to point out another "hidden' element to a more current artist of our time; Michael Jackson.  He also said at one time he'd like to be like Michelangelo, to bind his soul to his work so that it could live on after he died.  Michael was another artist portraying his "soul" through his art in hopes of binding the divine message he wished to convey to the world in his music.  Since his death videos and songs have been changed.  Works have been presented that aren't even his and there have been missing elements taken out from many of his works. Works that have been created with messages that have now become lost or distorted.

One such work I had held in a special place.  We have all been born into creation from opposite polarities.  Both male and female parts of ourselves, the twin flame soul, or depiction of the true divinity we all have within ourselves.  We carry that aspect with us within the soul itself, searching, most often for our "other half".  There were several works that Michael did that spoke about this divine aspect.  One work was entitled "You Are Not Alone".  The title itself should tell you no one is ever truly alone.

If you look at the video he did for the song you might notice works of art like depictions of a painting entitled "Daybreak" from Maxwell Parish.  There was also another aspect of the divine. An aspect that is now missing from his original work;  Michael as an angel.  I don't think Michael was trying to say he was an angel. I think Michael was trying to say he was divine. We are all entwined with the divine, all capable of a higher state of being.

This particular story held prominence.  It is the epitome of twin flame soul mates.  The lyrics, the video, everything about the original version depicted the story between two flames.  Lyrics like "I can hear your prayers" and "In the morning and in the evening", the two best times to contact your twin.  These are "divine" relationships, just like Jesus and Mary Magdeline.  And Michael represented it as "divine" by the angel's presence.  The fact that they went through the trouble of removing the most important message of this video from Michael's art might lead you to believe that they too are trying to alter history.

Here is "You Are Not Alone" as it stands now.  The angel scene is entirely missing and distorts the message of the work itself.

Here is "You Are Not Alone" the original.  (This was taken at my home from a VHS tape I own, for demonstration purposes only.  Please excuse the squeaky toy and the growl in the back . . my dogs like to play :)

Below is a clip from "The DaVinci Code".  You'll notice the mention of the chalice or "triangles" that would form the Star of David, Shiva, Shakti and Tibetan Heart Chakra center that we have referred to so many times here on the blog.  This is the symbol of "divine" union.  The union between two flames.

These kinds of messages have been repeated all over the world in our art, our music and our history.  Even though they have been right before our very eyes, we have failed to see them simply because we have been "told" differently.

The divinity that exists in each and every one of us, was the message that many artists and masters who have visited the earth have tried to convey. Yet all of these messages, every single one, including Michael's, has been purposely held under tight lips in altered messages to the public.
A consciously sleeping public is much easier to control, than one that is independent and powerful in thought and action.

This was the church's response back in March of 2005.  (I really like the gold hat ;)

Now if you remember my first book that I wrote about Michael and I being connected as "divine" parts as portrayed in his "original" video of "You Are Not Alone", you might remember that at that time they also wanted it to be published as "fiction".   I did not want a "fictional" work for a "real" story. There was an important message to convey.

There were also many other books at the time deemed fiction that held great spiritual truths.  You may now understand why the masters have put the importance they did for me on my book "Another Part of Me - An Extraordinary Tale of Twin Souls".  It is not fiction, it is a personal memoir and an accounting of some of the very foundations of our creations.  They made the way possible for me to write it in every way, shape and form.  I don't know if many of you remember, but Maurie Pressman MD, the psychotherapist who wrote the forward, was not a willing participant at the beginning of my venture.  I also had just become a single parent.  They made both the time and the support available for me to complete this work.

We have all been created in divinity and with both a female and masculine part of ourselves.  I remember the time when Mary Magdeline was pregnant myself and that remembrance was well before DaVinci Code was ever released.

So what does this mean to us today?  That we are upon a new age of enlightenment.  One that will no longer tolerate the lies and manipulation of a public forum ruled by the few.  It is time for all of us to step in our own unique divine light ourselves and as Michael said "try to be like Jesus".
