Sony; The Real Deal - An Act of Pure Desperation

I hadn't planned on this post today, however, a dear friend emailed me that while watching the Grammy's she saw a SONY commercial which was playing the music of Michael Jackson - "Don't Stop Until You Get Enough"

While many companies use music from artists to market their products, Sony holds a special place in the life of Michael Jackson.  As you can see from the photo at right, this is how Michael really felt about Sony.  It seems the feelings were mutual when they conspired to steal away his music catalog (used in the Sony commercial) as well as his prized Beatles catalog.

Although it has been painted in the media that Michael Jackson was a desperate man, and now his mother Katherine in her appeal for the AEG case, I can say with certainty that the truth of the matter is that it was Sony's act of pure desperation to acquire what Michael had.

Below are just the latest headlines that show the downfall of the music giant and their intermingling s with Michael's work:

"The industry is down to three major record companies. Universal Music acquired EMI’s recorded music business in 2012. An investor group led by Sony Corp. (6758), owner of Sony Music Entertainment, acquired EMI’s publishing business. In 2011, billionaire Len Blavatnik acquired Warner Music Group."

The following quote from Rumi was requested by Michael just this last year.  Taking a look at what is transpiring, I do believe there is some truth in this:

"What is justice? Giving water to trees. What is injustice? To give water to thorns. Justice consists in bestowing bounty in its proper place, not on every root that will absorb water. "

Michael's words during his 'Killer Thriller' speech always stick with me. He said: 'Ive generated several billion dollars for Sony. Several billion.'

Not million. Billion. That's what he generated but he did not get to pocket what he generated for the company. Think about that. No wonder they panicked when they knew he was going to leave them and we all saw what happened next. Just a year or so later Bashir coming onto the scene and the media falling over themselves to comment on Michael's 'dire' financial situation to place that in the public's consciousness. Remember too how Bashir pushed and pushed to the point of rudeness (actually he went past the point of rudeness) wanting to know how much Michael was worth and making sarcastic remarks about the prices of items that Michael had bought in the furniture store.

Even then they wanted to paint a picture of 'heading for broke overspender'. Underhand and shady come to mind but as I type them I realize that is a HUGE understatement.

I also remember reading online the report that came out saying that Jimi Hendrix's manager eventually confessed to killing Jimi and here is the quote as to the reason why:

"I had to do it. Jimi was worth much more to me dead than alive," Jeffrey is quoted as telling Wright. "That son of a b**** was going to leave me. If I lost him, I'd lose everything."

Yet for how many years was the public told 'drug overdose'?

Things that make you go hmmm...

Thank you for your comments. Very well said. The power of the media is only for those hypnotized by the glamour. Your comments made me cry . . truth always has a way of doing that. I always keep saying I wish in my head...I wish it could be different wish he could still be alive. I wonder what Branca says in his head...I'd like to do my own version of that interview with Bashir...Living with Michael Jackson . . the real story behind his murder xxoo

I keep making you cry! Sorry *hugs. I didn't mean to.

The one comfort I have is that God will have the final say. Nothing that is hidden will remain hidden forever, and 'the truth will out' as my grandma used to say. I wish Michael could still be alive too. I think I wish it at least once, if not more times every single day and my heart hurts thinking about what he was put through while he was here. But I also know that the evildoers would never have let him be; that they would have kept going, with one thing after another until they crushed him into the ground and as his beautiful children grew, they would have found a way to hurt them to further hurt Michael and it would have been relentless.

Because I believe that God has the final say over the moment that the spirit and soul leave the body permanently, I sometimes imagine that day and wonder why God didn't allow Michael to come back and triumph once again over his enemies. And then I picture Him (God), a loving Heavenly Father, seeing and knowing the hearts of those who surrounded Michael with such evil intent and simply saying, 'Enough now. I'm taking my child home.'

Thinking about that doesn't lessen the hurt, but it does help me in some small way to accept what has happened and to remember not to stay paralysed in that hurt (easier said than done some days) but to remember who he was and what he stood for while he was here and use that as inspiration to live my purpose and make my life count. In those times I also try remember to hold up his loved ones – his children and mother in particular – in prayer because I think, if I hurt over this, and I never got the opportunity to meet him, what must his loved ones be going through? It must be torturous for them and they need all the prayer and love and comfort we can send them, really.

That helps me to make some sense of everything, but it is still a hard thing to think about – his final hours. Very very painful.

The sad but true reality is that evil is a way of life for some people. Their consciences have been seared and human lives are expendable if they get in the way of what they see as their divine right. I also think that a good number of people who made names/careers/money off of Michael were so jealous of his essence that they felt entitled to use and abuse him and take what he worked so hard for. It is as though they felt Michael 'owed' them in some bizarre way. Very disturbing.

Please don't cry...

Aww you are so sweet. I didn't cry because of you, on,y because you understand the situation so well. I love your words but I do know too that god is giving him an opportunity now to triumph over that evil..sometimes when we are in the midst of it we can't see it. Now that he is on the other side he sees it all very clearly.

I think there will always be men that abuse but noticed the legacy of those that were taken trying to make a difference goes on. They inspire us, fuel our passions and make more people follow their footsteps.

Thank you so much for all that you have said and all that you have prayed for for Michael, his children and his mother..they are continuing the abuse with them anyway...may their hearts grow stronger knowing people like you know the truth and care. Xxoo

This is not actually related to your post today, but it's light hearted and fun and about the Grammy's :-) Last night after I had finished watching the Grammy's, I checked in with my guides and Michael came through. I told him I was happy because our own New Zealand Kiwi Girl "Lorde" won 2 Grammy's. He replied "she is so great" I asked who was his favourite act of the night. He replied straight away "Beyonce" I replied. Yes, she is great, and her performance was almost too sexy" He replied "How"? I really laughed at that, cause I know Michael loved "Beyonce" Actually, he is right, she is so beautiful and talented. I said "Yes Michael, but my favourite of the night has to b our Kiwi Girl "Lorde" and her refreshing and different song "Royals" is simply fabulous, He agreed I think....;-)

Hi Debbie, yes I do agree that it is not over. With the thought of Michael confounding his enemies, I meant at that time, when after all they had planned, if he could have lived and thwarted their plans as he had done before, I wish that could have happened instead of what did happen. I don't believe 2009 was the first and only time they they planned to end his life. This was only the first time they succeeded.

Sadly, you are right, the abuse continues but we know not to stand by and let it continue without speaking out, praying, loving more deeply and caring more passionately than we might have done before. I know there was a lot I took for granted before 2009 that I will never take for granted now.

Also I see how much my thoughts, attitudes and actions affect not just me and those around me on a small level but on a global scale too. It's so crucial to stay in a loving but powerful place. Just as the money spent by the public consuming tabloids and other garbage fuels the evil beast so does time and energy spent on a negative inner life spill out and fuel negativity in the external world.

We all have a lot more power and influence than we realize, in my opinion.

Agreed on so many levels! The child molestation accusations in 1993 were an attempt to ruin him by Branca . . his catalog at that time was transferred at the US Copyrights office: From a prior post "The catalog which he was referencing to me as the thing that was being sought after was being transferred at the US Copyrights office back in 1995. Document Number V3142P354 states a title defined as "(I took an) overdose & 777 other titles" When he gave me this information I couldn't help but notice the title. You are so correct with what you are saying. It's almost unfathomable for me. Yet, it does seem these people think they are untouchable. Like they are exploiting what they did with titles like these and their blatent use of his name, image and work to suit their needs.

Thanks so much for your comment. All of your words ring very true. xxoo (and no I didn't cry this time either! lol ) Love to you :)

Wow – I did not know this about Document Number V3142P354, that is an eye-opener. What I see when I ponder all of this this is Michael being plotted against and hunted like an animal until he is exhausted and wounded and more and more (evil) people joining the hunt until the net closes in on him completely. There is a despair and sadness there but also a fighting spirit and deep faith in the righteousness and justice of God. These, I believe will prevail. That is why we must never fear truth, even if it seems at first to upset or even offend our way of seeing things. Truth hand-in-hand with love is always a liberator. Truth without love can wound, and love without truth is deceptive. I have learned to look for both and have found that therein always dwells the heart of God.

This whole post has compelled me to share (if you don't mind) parts of Psalm 37 which is so pertinent to this topic. The whole psalm is amazing but what do you think of these verses?

1 Do not fret because of evildoers, Be not envious toward wrongdoers.
2 For they will wither quickly like the grass And fade like the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

12 The wicked plots against the righteous And gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord laughs at him, For He sees his day is coming.

21 The wicked borrows and does not pay back, But the righteous is gracious and gives.

32 The wicked spies upon the righteous And seeks to kill him.
33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand Or let him be condemned when he is judged.
35 I have seen a wicked, violent man Spreading himself like a luxuriant tree in its native soil.
36 Then he passed away, and lo, he was no more; I sought for him, but he could not be found.
37 Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright; For the man of peace will have a posterity.
38 But transgressors will be altogether destroyed; The posterity of the wicked will be cut off.

I think the verses are absolutely true..beautiful and comforting. Michael was delivered from the wicked even when he lived. I have a part in my book that talks about his trial and the archangel Michael. It was very powerful and real and I can attest to these psalms holding truth. Keep upright in your life, look to the father in our heaven and let those who spurn you fall to the wayside. God does deliver; he is all, the all is him. This is why he laughs. You cannot beat the source of all things - love. When you join that force that force joins you. You offer yourself for the good of God. Not for the good of you. The latter separates you from your source and you stand alone and weak. How these verses speak to me . . however, I think about all the abuse that happens. Knowing they do spy on the good waiting to strike. If they could only be so preoccupied in cultivating themselves...right. wow, thank you for sharing that, all of it. I like what you said about love and truth. I will remember that. Thank you again xxoo
