Keeping an Eye in the Sky - Maria Shaw Lawson's Astro Forecast

Winter Solstice and New Moon!

Our Winter Solstice charts gives a sneak peak as to what's ahead for the next three months until the Spring Equinox. The shortest day of the year and the first day of winter occurs on Sunday, December 21st at 6:04 pm eastern time. The Winter Solstice hits just hours before the New Moon on December 21st and it's at a very strong degree.... zero degrees Capricorn. Expect big changes, big decisions and people will feel strongly about taking action to restructure their lives. Watch for big announcements from relationships both professionally and personally. Companies may make sweeping changes in the 90 days from the new moon and people may move closer to or away from their commitments. Yes, this means you will hear news of Marriage or Divorce in your circle or in Hollywood.

A lot of people will be learning something new or perhaps starting a new job in which they will undergo new training. Some of you reading this may be thinking of taking classes for a college winter semester.

Crazy Uranus turns direct December 21 too. Uranus has to do with unexpected changes, disruptions, and radical ideas people want to push on you.

Beginning December 21st, Uranus starts to move forward, slowly. It will continue to move forward until late July. When Uranus moves forward, new inventions are created. So if there is an idea you've been pondering for a while, it may get a jumpstart over the winter solstice.

This will also be a time to be extra careful on the roadways and while traveling. Mercury squares Uranus and conjuncts Pluto then so please are extra careful December 21 through the end of the year. You will see a lot of accidents out there and they peak December 24th. So be careful please.

Last Monday, Jupiter went retrograde and will stay in that position until April 7. This is a great time to rework and reexamine something you've been doing or hoping to do since last July. I think this Jupiter retrograde will really help us with second chances and reviewing what we want to do with personal goals. Wherever you have the sign of Leo in your chart is where you will be reviewing your goals. So use this time and the energy of the new moon to help you realize some old dreams are worth dusting off...and making come true! Enjoy the season! Maria
