Man in the Mirror PROJECT: Battling Egos

"No matter how the wind howls, the mountain cannot bow to it."

     - The Emporer, Disney's Mulan

The beauty in life is not to be spent on holding grudges.  It is to be spent in wonderment of the beauty that surrounds you.  Pleasing another person's ego is fine, but when you undercut your own worth it is less palatable.  Most people think it is self sacrificing, that you are the better person, but you're not.  For every time you cut yourself down, you cut your worth and your inner strength by conforming to someone else's ego.  This mistake is not only seen on the physical plane but recorded in the ethers.  Its energy is stored in your being and recorded for future events.  If I let someone step on me, I may do it again and again.  Soon, as that energy is stored over and over again, it becomes harder for me to get out of the "rut" I have created and live my life more authentically.

The problem in this; there are two parts to everyone. The ego is the "edging god out" part, which means my ego and someone else's most often reflect our personalities, our family makeup and a reflection of society and will.  This is the part of ourselves that creates and maintains the misqualified energy that when you begin to try and ascend, you want to get rid of. Why then would you ever place yourself in alignment with someone else's misqualified energy?  It would be like accepting someone else's misqualified energy into your life when you are trying to get rid of your own.  It just doesn't make sense.

So how is the mastery of such events gained as ego battles in our lives ensue?  Each may be handled differently, but the key is to measure carefully the energy you take to engage in the battle.  What is your desired result?  Will it make a difference in your life or in the life of another?  It is just the wind howling or does the ego of another have real consequences for you and/or your loved ones?

Ego feeds on engagement.  One person with a "big ego" lets say, will often like to strut their ego like a peacock.  They want you to notice how powerful they are, that no one can mess with them and they are most often caught up in being very important, at least in their own minds.  When encountering a disagreement they will go to great lengths to prove they are right.  They will lie, steal, intimidate and misrepresent all aspects of the battle.

Here another dance ensues.  The battle begins when the other party engages.  The energy can be spent many different ways.  One option is to fight all the lies coming from the party.  Yet when will they end?  And if that's the nature of the ego of one party, this dance continues until the ego of that party decides to end it.  You have now given your power away to the ego, lier, manipulator.

Yet ego says we MUST do something, right?  We can, but we must weigh our options.  When you are becoming conscious of the way life is you may decide to weigh them like this.  What can I do to get the desired result I seek?  If your mind goes to a place where you are not clear what you want to see as a result, you have more soul searching to do.  If, on the other hand, you really don't wish anything to happen, you just don't like this person or group of people talking smack, there is another option; Standing in your strength.  The universe has a way of dealing with those who create their own misqualified energy.  Unbeknownst to them, the lies and deceit are all recorded.  All brought with them from lifetimes of doing the same thing again and again.  They are no threat to us, unless we allow them to be.  For when faced with a foe as such, we have a choice.  To let them in and relinquish our power or stand in our strength knowing we need to do nothing for them to be brought to justice.

Patience is a virtue.  Knowing your thoughts and the thoughts you let in, is another.  Inner strength is knowing all things will be brought to fruition through the laws of nature itself.  And, wisdom is standing like the mountain, no matter how much the wind howls.

I know for myself the content of what I read about twins is important.Your blog is so full of spiritual food. Your teaching is informative and more importantly gets past this romantic notion of the twin. This is a difficult path with a lot of ups and downs. Learning how to navigate this path is important.
Thank you for your work
