I was never raised in a strict religion. Matter of fact in my teens I took it upon myself to visit different churches in search of what I called "the truth". Our family was traditionally Catholic, but when my aunt divorced and the church would not recognize her child because of it, I moved on. The God that I seemed to know would never exclude a child from His Kingdom and it was at that time that I discovered the way in which churches and man could manipulate "the truth" to suit their needs.
The church does serve a purpose, however. And I found strength in the community and learned many "truths" that did seem "true". I also found more "truths" through Jehovah's Witnesses, Greek Orthodox, and Buddhism.
They all have truths, yet all have been interpreted by man. Man isn't perfect, so neither are his interpretations. That's why its so important for us to look within at all times for our truth.
When Jesus was alive this is what he taught us. I'm not sure how everyone got so off track. Maybe it has been the lure of the dollar or pretty shiny things, but he did say at one time that the Kingdom of God is within. Sometimes I wonder why that if it is within us, why people continue to still look outside of themselves for happiness.
Jesus the man, used to preach on the road. He had his own road show and followers that used to like to hear him talk. He spoke of where they came from, who his Father in heaven was and yes even what they would and could do: "You too shall do these and even greater things" He spoke about and healed the sick, he made certain all people were cared for and he spoke from his heart, not with the mind that was conditioned among the people.
So how did a man that was accused of claiming he was a king become so famous? Was it that he spoke from his heart, healed the sick, or came back to life? I don't believe it was any one of these things. I believe Jesus was and is so famous because he gave hope and life to people in bondage, people who were tired and worn and people who needed to believe in a hope and magic of who they were. They were inspired and as the word says it is with his spirit that we too will go unto the Father.
His earthly life was disturbingly difficult, yet he chose it along with his flame to educate the people of earth out of love and sacrifice. There are still many today that are doing the same. We have many healers, but they are not famous. We have many that speak from their hearts, but sometimes you find them on the street. We have even had people come back to life after they have died, but you may never hear of them.
As a flame and one that comes in sacrifice to serve, you will most likely travel a difficult road. There are many flames that have chosen to incarnate at this particular time in history. It is a time that is being named "The Seventh Golden Age". An age of enlightenment and change in world consciousness.
You as a flame may be one of the many. You might teach as Jesus did traveling from town to town or heal. What ever you do I hope that you remember that it is in the INSPIRATION of others that a ripple will be felt among all people. As one does to another, so does another to someone else.
Of all these great men there was one thing in common among them. They INSPIRED others:
Gandhi
Abraham Lincoln
Martin Luther King
Jesus the Christ
Moses
Mother Teresa
Wayne Dyer
Princess Diana
James Brown (Michael's addition)
Michael Jackson
May we all serve as an inspiration to another this holiday season and beyond.
