The Man in the Mirror Project - Making Change

Holding onto past patterns in our lives disrupts our ability to strengthen our resources in coming to terms with who we are.  We adhere to that which seems familiar to us and not to that which is new and not experienced yet.  Being open to change means to embrace everything that comes your way.  To hold the experience lightly without judgement and without fear.

Moving forward in your life takes only small steps.  Perhaps there is a goal you have in mind, something that you would like to do that seems to be beyond your reach.  Taking small steps to get there will be much more tolerable than to overwhelm yourself with the big picture.  Ask what is it that I need to do today to point myself in the right direction for where I want to be tomorrow?  It could be that you don't eat that extra donut, you walk to work instead of taking the car, write down your business idea, or even meditate for at least five minutes.  The point is in taking just a small step, doing just one thing a day that leads you down your path.  In time, your dream will be realized and you yourself will have nothing that stands in your way of your dream.
