Book Supporting Material: Will You Be There? 1994

1994 was one of my biggest "wake up" years.  I still wonder what Lisa Marie Presley thought about the "Disney World trip."

Synchronicity:

Was it my idea or his? We'd meet in Disney World on May 20, the same date that rang out to me in sixth grade with the boy I "thought" was "the one I was looking for."

A radio station in Detroit ran the contest for a trip to Disney.  Song of the day on May 20, 1994: Will You Be There by Michael Jackson

My work associate phoned and gave us his condo to stay in on the dates of his choosing:  May 20

Arrival at MGM Studios Disney aboard The Great Movie Ride; Lisa Marie, Michael, and Lisa's two children sat behind me.  The de je vu scene was glimpsed prior to the event and I was afraid to turn around.  When the time came for a photo of the car the two dunked and as we passed the scene from Casablanca I got an eerie feeling there was a message.  The scene depicted by the mannequins is below, but it was the words that hit me most:

"Rick: We'll always have Paris. We didn't have, we, we lost it until you came to Casablanca. We got it back last night.
Ilsa: When I said I would never leave you.
Rick: And you never will. But I've got a job to do, too. Where I'm going, you can't follow. What I've got to do, you can't be any part of. "

That night I had the dream of Michael asking me to meet him in Paris the next day.  Paris, Epcot.

My photo/Epcot date stamped 5/20/94
The "Bird" at Epcot the day of our meeting 5/19/94

He was there dressed in a disguise of a mustache and hat.  I mistook him for some strange man following me through out the park until the news on a local show called "Entertainment Tonight" confirmed his presence with footage of him in the disguise.
