A Twin Flame Lesson from Ebeneezer Scrooge

"He despairs at his inability ever to find happiness in the mortal world or the next. As he spent his life on this earth obsessing over money and mistreating the poor and wretched to fill his pocket, Marley is condemned as part of his penance to walk the earth for eternity never to find rest or peace, experiencing an "incessant torture of remorse."

Scrooge is in disbelief.  The spectre asks, "Why do you doubt your senses?"

As the Christmas season gears up in the stores, there are thoughts about gifts, decorating, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.  Sometimes the season comes in so quickly, we rarely have time to think and reflect about what these days truly mean.

There are many beautiful stories that have been woven over time with the holidays.  One of my favorites has always been "A Christmas Carol".  Like many Disney films, one might question what "inspired" the story.  It begins with an old man, crabby, neglectful, selfish, and greedy.  He is sitting at his desk waiting for what he knows will be the late arrival of his employee.  He's a task masker and readily looks for anything and everything miserable he can make of his life or the lives of others.

It's the Christmas season and the old man is visited by a ghost of his late partner, Jacob Marley.  Jacob was in business with him and had similar views on life, put money first and was selfish with his time and in his life.  He had come to warn the old man, Ebeneezer Scrooge, of what was to come, should he not change his ways.  He allowed Scrooge to view the chains he had made for himself, link by link with every deed and misdeed he engaged in.  The chains were heavy and they weighed Jacob down, keeping him tied to the earth plane.



When we speak about ascension and twin flames, these are the chains we have forged for ourselves that need to be broken in order for us not be tied to the earth plane any longer as well.  Each deed we do, or not do then, should be looked upon with a consciousness and compassion that reflects the goodness of who we are instead of the constricted, narrow or selfish vision of our past.  It may be hard to admit, but we have all made wrong choices, harmed others in deeds, thoughts or words and have most likely learned patterns that have not served us or humanity well.

When we are confronted with a twin flame, these issues will be magnified.  I believe that nature protects us in some sense, for coming into contact with a flame most often only happens when you have reached a certain level of relinquishing of the karma to begin with.  It would be unbearable to confront it all at one time.  51% of your karma must be cleared before you can have the option of not returning to the earth plane.  The chains or karma that is left to be worked through can then be worked on by both parties.  Reflecting and accepting with each other to absorb the knowledge that needs to be learned from each other.  In this way the karma of each individual is actively balanced by the two.  You share in the learning and can make the transition, or ascension together.

Twin flame unions offer a special path for learning.  For what you must accept about yourself you do so in love, because you love your flame.  That part of you will give you the fuel to burn off the dross layers of tar and undo the chains of lifetimes.

We must become like those who show compassion to us.  Like the ghost of Christmas present, past and future; the angels, the spirit guides, and those spirits that work on behalf of mankind.  Mankind often looks to them for compassion, just as Ebeneezer Scrooge did.  We ask for our prayers to be heard and look for them to be answered.  Rarely, however, do we look to ourselves to offer the same love and compassion we have come to expect from them.  Imagine if we were all like Scrooge.  There would be no compassion, or angels to look to.  Only ourselves and what we have created.

This is the path of mankind.  Forging our deeds one link at a time.  May we be grateful for the compassionate souls that have chosen to help.  For when faced with an Ebeneezer Scrooge and the deeds he has committed, it would be difficult to say the least to find compassion in the hearts of men today.  May we all look to those we look to for compassion and love in the heavens and may we all aspire to be just like them one day - compassionate towards mankind and compassionate towards ourselves.
