Awakening the Senses - Intuition

Listening to our intuition takes time and practice.  We listen with our minds and process the information we hear, but listening with our intuition is another story.  We hold the feeling within ourselves, sometimes closing our eyes sometimes tapping into the feeling so that we can decipher what it is.  Something seems to be whispering to us yet the whisper is not in our ears, its from our soul.

How many times in your life have you said the words "something is telling me . . . " ?  How many times have you gone against that voice and found that later you should have listened?  The more we listen to our intuition the more it is awakened.  The more we use our senses, the more feeling they are.

Try an experiment over the weekend.  When you are faced with a challenge in your life, close your eyes and be still inside.  Ask yourself how you feel about the situation, not what you think, but how you feel.  Our minds often lead us into our patterns of thought that have been instilled by words, experiences, and the telling of tales.  Our feelings, however, can be tell tale signs of something about to erupt, the truth of a situation and even a path better taken for ourselves.

  1. Hi, Debbie, well spoken. The topic of intuition was recently discussed where I usually post my own articles, and since over time I had trouble in always following my intuition, I commented in a reply this way:

We all have intuition, but it takes skill to follow intuition when intuition comes to us, for in our reasonings logic may quickly override intuition. The ones better at following their intuition will definitely make fewer mistakes in life, for no part of our intuition will ever lead us astray.

Conscious remembering of events out of a past life is indeed rare, however what we are now is on a DNA level the sum total of all experiences throughout all of our incarnations, and by that fact alone are we expected to follow our instincts - or better: intuition.

Thanks for sharing your insights with us, Debbie.
