I don't know if Abraham Lincoln was ever in touch with his twin flame on the earth plane, but his willingness and sense of what is right for all people has always struck me as something and someone I would like to be like. For when everyone thought slavery was what should be the "norm" he was strong and courageous enough to stand up for what was right and carry it through. This act not only demonstrated a willingness to do what was right for all people, but his willingness to put his selfishness and ego aside to do what was right in spite of how he might be viewed and what might be done to him because of it. This is true courage, true love of humanity and true bravery.
One of the best things known about Lincoln was his success in putting an end to slavery. He also did not believe in war and has been quoted as once saying:
"Both parties deprecated war, but one of them would make war rather than let the Nation survive, and the other would accept war rather than let it perish, and the war came."
He recognized that the ignorance of both sides of any war was to engage in a war and the killing of people even though they said they didn't want it, rather than reach a compromise.
In his famous Gettysburg address Lincoln said the nation was born not in 1789, but in 1776, "conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal." He defined the war as an effort dedicated to these principles of liberty and equality for all.

Uhh, I like what you write about the honest statesman Abraham Lincoln, dear Debbie!
ReplyDeleteYou know, it never dawned on me until you spoke it out - that there may just be a correlation between being twin flame material (or having evolved to twin flame status) and nobility of character as we have seen in the late President Lincoln.
He displayed concern for the welfare of all people he presided over, and the happiness he wished for himself he desired to share with all. Is that not reflectant of the attitude twin souls have for each other? CREATING HAPPINESS FOR THE OTHER "YOU!"
In all probability President Lincoln had found the connection to this Higher Self which made him such a noble man, and from there on out he had definitely become soul mate material.
I hope you don't mind me quoting excerpts from this article on my own page. Thank you, good Lady!
Reni,
